In 2020, we received a custom request from an amateur basketball club in China.
Operating 4 indoor basketball courts and hosting year-round community 3v3 and youth 5v5 leagues, this club had gone through more than a dozen scoreboards, yet never found a product fit for grassroots tournaments. Professional scoreboards for international events were exorbitantly priced and complex to install, completely unsuitable for mobile grassroots leagues; while simple manual flip boards required full-time staffing, were prone to scoring errors, and were invisible to spectators, severely disrupting game flow and viewing experience. What they wanted was a portable, wall-mountable electronic scoreboard, clearly visible from 30 meters away, easy to operate, with full functions for basketball events, plus custom printing for the club and tournament's exclusive logos.
This request struck a chord with us, a team of basketball enthusiasts. For years, we'd manufactured timing and scoring equipment, but like most manufacturers in the industry, we'd only focused on the top-tier professional event market, ignoring the real needs of the largest segment: grassroots tournaments, community gyms, and campus training. We took on this custom project, and embarked on a 5-month journey of refinement. To balance clarity and portability, we finalized the golden 74.5*49.5cm dimensions, with large, high-brightness LED digital tubes that remain crisp even in bright indoor lighting. It integrates full functions: score, period, fouls, timeouts, and 24-second shot clock, perfectly adapting to both FIBA standard rules and custom grassroots tournament formats. Paired with IR remote control, one person can manage full-game scoring without standing by the board, completely freeing up manpower.
The final delivered CP23A classic model completed 3 months of field testing in the club's leagues, with zero errors and zero failures, becoming the backbone of every event. But what surprised us most was the new demand from the club's operators: they also ran the wildly popular pickleball courts and badminton halls, and surrounding communities regularly hosted ultimate frisbee, flag football, and volleyball tournaments-all of which lacked suitable professional scoreboards. Either there were no products on the market matching their tournament rules, or they suffered the exact same pain points as the basketball scoreboards.
That's when we realized: what people needed was never just a basketball scoreboard. Beyond the basketball court, every court, every grassroots tournament, every passion for ball sports deserves a professional, fit-for-purpose, exclusive scoreboard. So, building on this CP23A basketball classic, we completed a full upgrade of our product system, breaking down the industry barriers of "single-category fixed functions and high customization thresholds", and launching full-sport, full-format custom development services.
